The KDL19S5700 is both practical and gorgeous to look at – both switched on and off. Stylish, and lightweight (just 5.8kg), it’s the perfect portable TV to move around your house and enjoy your favourite TV programmes, photos or games when in another room.
With a detachable carrying handle, you can easily move the KDL19S5700 to a bedroom or kitchen. Its sleek curved design looks fantastic and it features a great looking digital clock. It can also be wall mounted to save extra space, although you would need to get a separate wall mounting kit.
The KDL19S5700 allows you to do much more than just watch TV. Plug in your digital camera or USB key to the USB 2.0 port and view photos in stunning detail on the USB Photo Viewer. Connect your MP3 player and you can play music files on the USB Music Player as well. Or enjoy HD movies and games when you connect a Blu-ray player or HD console via the 2 HDMI ports – and you’ll need just one remote to control everything.
Usability is reasonable. The on screen menu and EPG (electronic programme guide) are easily navigated although the remote control is a bit complicated to get used to at first.
It may be compact but you’ll still enjoy a great picture. The specification is a bit less than the larger Sony models, but its a struggle to spot any degradation as the higher contrast ratio, etc, would make no noticeable difference on a 19 inch TV. The Bravia Engine and a Dynamic Contrast ratio of up to 8.000:1 deliver incredible detail and image depth. Live Colour picks out the subtlest shades and natural colours while 24p True Cinema ensures you’ll enjoy a real film experience as the director intended.

I SPENT A LOT OF TIME LOOKING AT LOADS OF PINK T.VS DECIDED ON THE SONY BRAVIA KDL19S571IOU MAINLY FOR THE QUALITY AND THE SOUND WE HAVE A 40INS BRAVIA IN THE LOUNGE AND ITS BEEN SUPERB THE CHEAPER PINK TVS ON THE MARKET LOOK OK BUT THE VOLUME IS POOR AND THEY DONT HAVE 2 SKART CONNECTIONS.
Takes a long time to warm up, up to half a minute. Picture is excellent. Sound volume not so good. Overall good purchase for the kitchen

As the Sony kdl19s57 series is a new television on the market there are very few reviews as yet. However if Sony's quality is anything to go by then these will be great tv's
